London Road Mancunian Way skate park

Visit: London Road 'Mancunian Way' skatepark, London Road, Ardwick, Manchester

Projekts MCR (external website) manages the London Road site in partnership with Manchester City Council. It is a replica of a street concourse with low level pipes, banks, hips and rails, all constructed on a purpose built floating floor to test and challenge the skater's skills. Designed and shaped by Andy Peerless, the retired European quad skate champion, with consultation and input from local skaters, and built by the bespoke skatepark builders Fearless Ramps. Comments have included "Best in the North West."

Skate4Schools

Projekts MCR are aiming to make the London Road Skatepark available from 9am to 2pm every weekday for programmed sessions to schools and other private groups. Their aim is to make skateboarding accessible to those who would otherwise never get the opportunity to try it. Skateboarding requires creativity, skill, passion and determination. It's greatly rewarding and exciting. As an activity, skateboarding not only tends to attract people with a passion for sport, but also develops these characteristics in those who try it.

For information on prices and when the park is open, visit the Projekts website.

Please ensure that you wear the correct protection when skating. Have Fun... Be Safe...
