Countryside and rights of way local access forum

Manchester, Salford and Trafford have established a Joint Forum to advise on the improvement of public access to land for the purpose of open-air recreation and the enjoyment of the area.

Membership of the Forum is voluntary and represented by:

  • users of local rights of way, including, walkers, cyclists, horse-riders, disabled people;
  • owners and occupiers of access land or land crossed by rights of way;
  • other interests, including tourism, sport and recreation, conservation, education, heritage, health, transport, local businesses; and agriculture.

Meetings are held  at Manchester Town Hall and are open to the public.
