The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how we will listen to you during planning policy preparation and how we will consult you on the planning applications we receive. We adopted our existing SCI in 2007.
Government planning rules have changed since this time, and we have updated the SCI in line with the new requirements relating to consultation on planning policies and planning applications. We are consulting on the updated SCI from Monday 7 August until Monday 2 October 2017 (Please note that the consultation period has been extended from Monday 18 September) and would welcome comments on the document. You can download a draft copy of the SCI, or view a copy at Central Library.
You can make comments in the following ways:
- online at the Consultation Portal
- by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
- by post to the Planning & Infrastructure Team, Library Walk, Level 3 Town Hall Extension, PO Box 563, Manchester M60 2LA
All comments must be received by 5pm on Monday 2 October 2017
Once the consultation has finished we will consider responses received and amend the SCI as needed. It will then be formally adopted and planning consultations will have to be carried out inline with it.
