Moss Side and Hulme Partnership

The Moss Side and Hulme Partnership was established in 1997 with a 5-year remit to complete what, at the time, was regarded as the most ambitious regeneration programme in the United Kingdom.

The Moss Side and Hulme Partnership managed the delivery of several regeneration programmes in the area, including the Government's Single Regeneration Budget, Capital Challenge and European funding programmes. Over £400million of private and public sector resources was invested into the area by the Moss Side and Hulme Partnership.

Key physical achievements of Moss Side and Hulme Partnership include:

  • the Hulme Arch Bridge,
  • new road infrastructure,
  • Birley Fields - a new business park,
  • over 2,000 new homes for sale and rent,
  • new parks,
  • a flagship youth centre and
  • the regeneration of Princess Road in Moss Side.
