Raising Public Awareness
The Road Safety Team promotes the road safety message by supporting and attending major events, both locally and nationally.
Publicity aims to raise public awareness amongst all Manchester residents and road users of the needless number of road related casualties on its streets. It also provides collision reduction and road safety advice to all road users in an attempt to reduce these casualty figures.
Manchester Road Safety Team work in conjunction with the Department for Transport, Collision Investigation Unit, Greater Manchester Police, DriveSafe, Traffic Engineering Team and numerous other internal and external bodies. It is with this continued support that we aim to influence the attitudes and behaviour of all road users.
