The following resources can be loaned by educational establishments from the Manchester City Council Road Safety Team, or downloaded from the web.
Foundation Stage
Visit Salman and friends web site for activity sheets, games and stories.
Key stage 1
Year 1. The adventures of Togo&Nogo with their friend Sam, an animated CD and big book. aimed at introducing young children to becoming safe pedestrians.
Year 2. Step Outside with Togo&Nogo. An interactive pedestrian CD with 6 training modules. including a practical on-road training session.

Street Feet. The Street Feet Resource is designed for use with children in Key Stage 1, age 3 to 7 years.
It contains two road layouts; one zebra crossing and one pelican crossing and aims to develop the skills and awareness required for young children to cope with today's traffic. It gives children the opportunity to practice crossing the road in a safe environment by using role-play. By playing the part of different road users children acquire awareness of road use patterns and realise their responsibilities as a road user.
Separate Mini pelican/puffin crossings, Mini zebra crossing, mini School crossing patrol outfit and lollipop stick can also be loaned out.

The resource contains a DVD, booklet, lesson plans and question cards. This resource can be used in two ways as a complete stand alone package for use in a classroom setting, utilising the DVD,lesson plans and question cards, or in a drama setting using the DVD and the booklet. Arrive Alive Road Safety Programme. from the Driving Standards Agency
The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) is dedicated to influencing young people's attitudes towards road safety and driving safely when they have passed the driving test, by discussing important road safety issues in their Arrive Alive Road Safety Programme.
