Our Vision is to achieve a highway network that is safe, sustainable and accessible to all and supports the economic growth of Manchester.
The overriding objectives are to provide, through our own work and that of partners, quality day-to-day highway services that residents, councillors and visitors can take pride in and that supports neighbourhoods.
The highway network has an impact on everyone who lives in or visits our City and the Greater Manchester region. Key customers for the Service are:
- residents and ward members;
- people who travel to and around Manchester for work, education and leisure;
- businesses, retail and commercial enterprises;
- providers and users of education, leisure, health and welfare facilities;
- transport operators including the airport;
- commercial developers;
- utilities and statutory authorities; emergency services;
- strategic customers, internal and external
Our staff have proven experience in highway design and maintenance with the skill and expertise to deliver complex civil engineering projects in a congested urban environment.
