MARCH 2011
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS GUIDANCE WILL CHANGE SOON, SO PLEASE GET IN TOUCH BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH ANY PLANNING APPLICATION
The following information, and linked pages, should be used as a guide only, until the new guidance has been published.
The Waste Storage and Collection Guidance is Manchester City Council's practical guide for use by planners, developers, architects, building managers and others to enable them to design and implement successful waste management strategies for buildings in Manchester. Detailed information is given about the physical design of buildings, including the sizes of bin stores, through to the practical management of waste once a building is occupied.
The documents expand on the guidance given in Part H (Drainage and waste Disposal) of the Building Regulations 2002 to give a Manchester specific focus about waste management in the City.
