Terms and conditions when booking an activity

Section 1 - Bookings

  • 1.1. All bookings must paid in full once your booking has been confirmed to you. Payment can be made either over the phone (debit/credit card) or at the centre. Cash or cheques are only payable at the centre. Debdale gift vouchers are also accepted.
  • 1.2. Bookings made more than 4 weeks before the course start date, can pay a 50% deposit, non-refundable (except as described in point 2.7).
  • 1.3. Bookings made 4 weeks or less prior to the start of the course need to be paid in full, once your booking has been confirmed.
  • 1.4. Party leaders must obtain parental consent for minors to attend, and must obtain medical information, and make a health declaration, for all participants.

Section 2 - Cancellations
By Client

  • 2.1. All cancellations must be in writing.
  • 2.2. If you cancel more than 4 weeks before the start of your course, your deposit is retained.
  • 2.3. If less than 4 weeks notice of cancellation is given, 80% of your course fee is retained.
  • 2.4. If you cancel 2 weeks or less before the start of your course, 100% of the course fee will be retained.
  • 2.5. Bookings are non-transferable.

By Debdale Outdoor Centre

  • 2.6. Every attempt will be made to ensure your course actually runs. However, we reserve the right to cancel any course if the numbers on the course fall below the workable minimum. In this event every effort will be made to contact you as early as possible.
  • 2.7. You may then choose either a full refund, or an alternative course.
  • 2.8. Our liability does not extend beyond point 2.7.
  • 2.9. We reserve the right to cancel or amend any activity if necessary to ensure the safety of participants.

Section 3 - Insurance and risk

  • 3.1. We carry the mandatory insurance cover relating to third parties.
  • 3.2. Debdale Outdoor Centre takes safety seriously and has an excellent safety record. Nevertheless clients must accept the inherent risks in adventure activities. You participate at your own risk. You are strongly recommended to take out your own insurance cover for personal accident and for your belongings.

Section 4 - General

  • 4.1. You must be willing to comply with all safety regulations.
  • 4.2. We will provide all specialist equipment. You will need to bring the items described on your course joining instructions.
  • 4.3. Age restrictions apply to activities.
  • 4.4. For water based activities, you should be confident in water.
  • 4.5. Photographs of the activity may be used for promotional purposes, unless you notify the Centre otherwise at the time the photographs are taken.
