Free swimming 

If you are aged 60 or over, you can enjoy free swimming in Manchester every day, all year round. And if you're aged 16 or under then you can enjoy free swimming at some of the city's swimming pools during all school holidays.

Complete the registration form and take it to your nearest participating pool (there are
pools around Manchester that offer ‘free swimming’). If you currently have a 60+ swim pass and are a Manchester resident, you do not need to re-register. 

To get a free swimming pass, you need to be: 

  • over 60; and
  • live in Manchester.

When you register you need to provide: 

  • proof of age (bus pass, driving licence, passport, birth certificate: and
  • proof of where you live (utility bill, such as your council tax bill, gas bill etc).

Aquativity is a programme of water based activities for all ages, genders and abilities. All of the sessions are instructor-led and are just £1 a session (or £2 if you live outside Manchester). 

Why not try Aquativity's Learn to Swim classes, take your little ones along to Funquatics (a fun play programme to help your child be confident in the water) or aqua natal classes for soon-to-be mothers.
