What are Friends of the Park groups?
Friends of the Park are voluntary groups of local residents, workers or visitors who dedicate some of their time, energy and effort to caring for and improving their local Park or Green Space. Anyone can join a Friends group and give as much or as little time as they want to nurture their park, open space, river valley or woodland.
Manchester's Friends are a passionate and dedicated troop who work fantastically hard to improve the city's recreational green spaces. They do this in many ways, from sharing opinions on plans to designing projects, securing valuable funding and seeing through their improvement schemes from conception to delivery.
