Manchester Airport Orbital Cycleway
(Regional Cycle Route 85).
The airport orbital cycleway is a 12.5 Km or 8 miles mainly off-road cycle route around Manchester Airport, which takes you pass the Aviation Viewing Park, (See Concorde and other historic aircraft and the airport at work) and Styal Country Park (National Trust Property with extensive grounds).
The route can be joined at several points. The orbital route uses off-road cycle tracks on Runger Lane and Wilmslow Road passing through the airport runway tunnels to a bridleway along the River Bollin leading into old Altrincham Road and Moss Lane. Off-road cycle tracks along Styal Road and Simonsway continue to Kirkup Gardens in Wythenshawe where the route turn left and continues through Painswich Park to Thorley Lane and back to the start.
