If you're just beginning university life, welcome to Manchester, and if you're returning for another Year, welcome back.
You are part of the biggest student community in any european city.
However long you've been here, I'm sure you'll have already formed an impression of the city. You'll be aware of its buzzing nightlife and cultural scene, its world-class sports facilities and its reputation for innovation.
Manchester is a city with a history of radicalism, whether it's fighting for justice and equality or daring to dream.
We're proud of our city and we want you to share that pride and feel part of its pulse.
We know you don't need the council or our partner agencies to tell you how to make the most of your time here, but we hope the following pages give you a few useful pointers.
