Performance Management and Business Planning

Directorates within the Council produce a budget and business plan which sets out how they will progress the achievement of the Council's objectives, the objectives specifically for the directorate, the changes it will go through to achieve them and the performance targets it will monitor to check its progress.  The Council has three business plans covering the period 2016-2017:

Overall the Performance Management Framework has allowed for a number of practical tools to be created to support us to make best use of resources.  This includes gathering data at a local level, showing the key issues on individual streets and in specific communities, ensuring we allocate resources to residents' priorities.  It has also allowed us to make more informed decisions when we commission organisations to deliver services for us, as we can make better assessments of people's needs.
