Our Annual Report presents a summary of how the Council works to provide good value-for-money services, what the city gets for its money and what we hope to achieve in the future. The report incorporates a summary of our annual accounts for 2008/09 - setting out where money was spent on the things that matter to the city's residents.
As a council we were again awarded a rating of three stars for our services by independent government inspectors in their 2008 inspection. Manchester City Council has been actively listening to what residents want and your input has helped us to achieve many things. It is our aim to improve year on year and tackle the areas where you have told us you want more things done or things done better. It is what Manchester's residents think that counts the most.
