First Steps in Working with People and Mentoring
Full Level 2 in Working with People and Mentoring
First Steps in Personal Skills Development is a level one certificate and you will be studying for one day a week.
This course is for anyone who is interested in a career working with people including: Community Development, Childcare, Hospitality, Retail, Human Resources, Media, mentoring and support work.
You will learn through group work, discussions and classroom based activities. You will have the opportunity to meet with working professionals who will share their experiences. You will also be able to take part in trips to meet employers during the summer term.
You will be supported by a personal tutor who will guide you through your programme of learning. One-to-one tutorial time will be available, and information, advice and guidance will be part of your programme, providing support to your next step.
Learn how to value your own personal experience, identify ways you can use your strengths and skills, and plan and prepare for your next step by setting and achieving goals.
