Luncheon Clubs

Meet other people for lunch

Luncheon clubs are run all across the city. They're places where older people can go to spend time with others whilst they have some lunch. It's a great way to get out if you're feeling lonely or isolated, or even if you just fancy something good to eat and a chat.

Who is it for?

Anyone who's over 55 and resident in Manchester can come along to a luncheon club. Just find one that's suitable for you and check the opening days and times.

How do I know if I'm eligible?

You don't need to be assessed for luncheon clubs. It's not like some of our other services. You will have to pay for your meal, though. It's £2.70 for a hot meal and a dessert for Luncheon clubs run by Manchester City Council. Clubs run by other organisations, such as faith groups or community groups may have different charges. You should ring them to check if you want to know in advance.

Where do they happen?

Luncheon Clubs take place all across the city. Some are based at resource centres, others are dotted around in public buildings, community centres, church halls etc.

Ring and Ride can sometimes help with transport.

You can find details of when and where luncheon clubs take place on MyManchesterServices.
