The number of votes cast for Manchester City Council to be run by a mayor who is elected by voters and a change to how the council is run now was 42677

The majority of the votes cast in the referendum are in favour of the continuation of the authority's exisiting arrangements and the result of the referendum is to reject the proposal that the authority to operate a mayor and cabinet executive.
