Manchester FEAST

The Manchester School FEAST (Food Excellence And Skills Training) Partnership aims to equip and improve the skills and motivation of today's caterers and cooks. It wants to ensure that everyone who works in school catering has the skills and knowledge to provide good food during school hours, and food that is essential to the long term health and welfare of our children and young people.

Manchester City Council's catering arm, Manchester Fayre, is delighted to announce it has been successful in becoming a member of the School FEAST (Food Excellence And Skills Training) network and is a recognised training centre for the North of England. Manchester Fayre will work with its partners, Manchester Metropolitan University, Accrington and Rossendale College and Manchester Primary Care Trust to deliver valuable training and nationally recognised qualifications.

  • VRQ Level 1 Award in Providing a Healthier School Meals
  • Service Support Work in Schools Level 2
  • Support Work in Schools Level 3
  • NVQ Level 2 Professional Cookery
  • NVQ Level 2 Food Processing and Cooking
  • NVQ in Food Safety
  • 3-day cookery courses aimed at foundation and professional cookery
