Asbestos

Domestic asbestos

Full information about asbestos can be found on the Health & Safety Executive website.  The site shows you where you can find asbestos, what asbestos looks like and why asbestos is dangerous.

What can you do

If you think your home may have asbestos, check if panels are well sealed/painted over, or panels are not broken and surfaces are not exposed, they should present no immediate danger. However, if paint is flaking away, or panels have been chipped, broken, or damaged as a result of DIY or other maintenance work, then further advice will be needed.

Do NOT try and remove suspect asbestos panels yourself without taking advice!

If you are worried about suspected asbestos in your home contact us fir advice.
