Liberal Party

  • Manchester Liberal Federation (ref GB127.M283). This collection consists of the Liberal Party's Citywide organisation and records of the wards themselves. The main records are the minutes of the Party and its committees and the records of Miles Platting Ward, Exchange Division, St. Luke's Ward, Longsight Ward, Barlow Moor Ward, The Manchester Liberal Women, Manchester Liberal Women's Central Council, Barlow Moor and Didsbury Women's Liberal Council, Municipal Progressive Association.
  • North West Liberal Federation (formerly Lancashire and Cheshire Liberal Federation) 1908 to 1971 (ref GB127.M390).
  • Lancashire, Cheshire and North Western Derbyshire Union of Women's Liberal Associations, minute book 1932 to 1938 (ref GB127.M391).
  • Society of Certified and Associated Liberal Agents, North Western District 1903 to 1951 (ref GB127.M392).
  • William Royle of Rusholme (1854 to 1923), Chairman of Executive Committee of the Manchester Liberal Federation 1880 to 1924 (ref GB127.M429).
  • Papers relating to Newton Heath Liberal Club and the campaign for a public library. Includes minutes, correspondence and printed papers, 1887 to 1888 (ref GB127.M676/2).
  • Papers and correspondence of Lord Simon (Ernest D. Simon, First Baron Simon of Wythenshawe) c.1918 to c.1960 (ref GB127.M11).
  • Papers of Lady Simon of Wythenshawe 1920 to 1974 (ref GB127.M14).
