Electoral Registers
Please note that the edited version of the current electoral register for the City of Manchester is now available for consultation at Manchester Room@City Library. However, we are still unable to deal with telephone requests for information from the register. The full (unedited) version of the current electoral register for Manchester is only available for consultation under supervision in the Electoral Services Unit in the Town Hall.
The full electoral registers for Manchester from 1832 - 2001 are still available for consultation in the Manchester Room@City Library. The full registers from 2002 onwards can only be consulted in the Electoral Services Unit as above. These arrangements are necessary to comply with the increased supervisory requirements introduced in the Representation of the People (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2002.
Statistical Information on Manchester
Statistics on the City of Manchester are provided by the Policy Unit (Analysis) section of the Council. Many of these reports can be downloaded and printed off if required. We hold printed versions of many of these in the Local Studies Library.
The Rebuilding Manchester website is devoted to the regeneration of the city centre following the devastation of the IRA bomb of 15 June 1996.
