Panora Negatives
The Greater Manchester County Record Office holds a collection of approximately 4,500 negatives taken by a company called Panora, which specialised in panoramic photographs of school groups. Photographs were taken of schools throughout the country from 1968 to 1985.
We are pleased to announce that we are now able to have these negatives (some of which are over a metre in length) scanned, and can produce prints on photographic quality paper. As a pilot project, we have scanned the first two boxes of negatives in the archive, which are listed below.
If you wish to know whether photographs of your school are available within , please contact us, and we can arrange for the negative to be scanned and digitised.
Copies are available for £37, including post and packing. Please make cheques payable to "Greater Manchester County Record Office". Photographs will be sent within 28 days of receipt of orders.
