Juvenile and Child employment team's responsibilities
The Juvenile and Child Employment Team monitor juvenile and child employment within manchester. Our aim is that no child's education or wellbeing should be affected by their employment or by taking part in any performance. We regularly carry out checks on premises where children work or perform, or where children are suspected of working.
We also deal with:
- The regulations and legislation which govern children who are in the entertainment industry, including modelling, and child performance liscensing.
- We issue and monitor Child Work Permits, which enables children and young people to work part-time and out of normal school hours.
- Chaperone licensing.
