The Council's Events Unit is continuing that tradition by developing and promoting a balanced programme of activity, which supports the city's cultural economy, is in line with the city's values and supports the Council's Community Strategy Spines.
Manchester City Council's annual calendar of events Is a key communications mechanism that strategically reinforces the positioning and profiling of the city and offers people experiences and enrichment in their local area and within the city environment which are integral to the promotion of individual and collective self esteem, mutual respect and the creation of neighbourhoods of choice.
