Energy Saving Trust advice centre
The city council runs the 'Energy Saving Trust advice centre Greater Manchester'; a partnership between Manchester, Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan councils.
The centre offers:
- freephone impartial energy advice
- free home energy checks and home energy reports
- information about grants for energy-saving work
- free cavity wall and loft insulation surveys
- promotional events and demonstrations of the latest energy-saving technology
- expert advice sessions for business and community groups
- advice on cutting the costs of driving
The centre is funded by the Energy Saving Trust (external site). The funding depends on the centre's quality and performance against tough targets.
