Manchester City Council

Planning & regeneration Regenerating 'Cornbrook Hub'

We're drawing up exciting long-term plans for a world-class transformation of the area around Cornbrook Metro station. We want to transform this underused area, which has such potential, into an impressive gateway between Manchester and Trafford.

Our plans will create a fitting addition to neighbouring success stories including Media City, St George's Island and Pomona Island so that the new 'Cornbrook Hub' can play its part in the region's emerging economic and environmental recovery.

We've been inviting the views of anyone with an interest or opinion at this early stage so we can include them in an upcoming Council report. We'll take people's views into account as decisions are made in future months and years.

We've drawn up a bigger-picture document called 'Cornbrook Hub Regeneration Framework' which is packed with details, statistics, drawings, maps and background ideas.

We'll be reporting back on recently gathered comments and questions soon.
