Ward Plans support the local delivery of Strategic Regeneration Frameworks by documenting the main issues affecting the ward and the detailed actions required to address them.
The Plans are developed by the Ward Coordinator, Regeneration Ward Officer, elected members and key local partners such as Registered Social Housing Providers, Greater Manchester Police, community groups, local traders and Manchester City Council departments such as the Neighbourhood Delivery Team and Community and Cultural Services.
This group of partners work together over the year to deliver the action plan. Neighbourhood investment funds are available to help local community groups finance projects that support ward priorities.
Ward Plans are updated on an annual basis and progress is reviewed during the year at quarterly Ward Coordination meetings.
The Ardwick Ward is the only ward in Central Manchester that does not have a Ward Plan as partners have agreed to use the Ardwick Local Plan document to address local issues.
