Wildaboutnature: Environmental Education Handbook
The Wildaboutnature handbook has everything you need to know about running outdoor environmental sessions. It has been produced to help anyone who works with children and would like to have the knowledge and confidence to deliver their own outdoor lessons.
Split into three sections, the handbook takes you through the planning and preparation required for an outdoor session, 25 different activities, and the resource sheets that you'll need to do them.
The activities have all been produced on easy-to-follow 'recipe card' type worksheets. The pack also contains four Field Study Council guides to help with your identification activities, and a map of the city featuring schools, children's centres and green spaces; so that you can plan your trip out if you wish to venture beyond your school gates.
To request your free handbook download the registration form and send it to the details on the form.
If you would like to discuss outdoor education please contact an Environmental Education Officer on 0161 234 3962.
