The East Manchester Academy has two specialisms. The first is the built environment which includes architecture, engineering, art, project management and environmental planning and design. Its second specialism is in the performing arts where students are able to participate in performances, exhibitions and artist-led workshops.
The Academy offers 900 places for 11-16 year olds and contains a sixth form offering 120 places for 16-19 year olds.
