Maple Reference or Maple Lending Unavailable - Central Library stock on the online catalogue
Whilst Central Library is closed for refurbishment (2010 to 2013) we are working on a huge retrospective cataloguing project.
Previously customers who wanted to search for reference books (the majority of those published before 1995) would normally make a personal visit to the library to check the card catalogue.
When we re-open, details of all our stock will be available through our online catalogue, including the reference books which used to be held in our stack storage areas.
During the refurbishment period, if you look for a book on our catalogue and see the message Maple Lending Unavailable or Maple Reference Unavailable it means that it is one of the books which is in storage until we re-open. Maple is one of the storage facilities we are using during this period.
As we work on the project more and more books will be added to our online catalogue. Although it may be frustrating to look for a book and then find that it is unavailable, we thought it was important to let you see the progress we are making with getting them all onto our online catalogue.
