Libraries Use a computer in Central Library

Central Library boast more computers for you to use than ever before. You'll find 170 PCs over five floors plus a new suite of Macs and PCs in the Media Lounge which also includes the latest gaming consoles.  Central Library has wifi so you can bring your own device and get connected

You can use a PC for free for one hour every day but if you need more time there is a charge of £1.50 for an extra hour.  This applies to the computers across all Manchester libraries. It is free to connect to the wifi.  

You can access many reference resources for free online wherever you are.

Some computers in the Information and Business section are reserved to access our range of business databases and market research. In the Media Lounge certain computers are available to use with creative software only.  Please ask staff for details.

Please note: computer access within the library will shut down 15 minutes before the library closes.
