Smithy Lodge

The eight sided Smithy lodge was the first gatehouse to the park, designed in 1806. The name comes from blacksmiths shops that used to be on Middleton Road outside the park.

The lodge was originally a cottage and has been restored to be luxury self catering accommodation.

The 3* grade II listed lodge has a lounge, spacious kitchen area with dining room table, two twin bedrooms, and bathroom with shower and full size bath.

Prices for Smithy Lodge are:

  • 1 night £100
  • 2 nights £150
  • 3 nights £180
  • 7 nights £250
  • 14 nights £450

Up to four people can stay. Unfortunately, due to the original design of the building, Smithy Lodge does not have disabled access.

Breakfast

Smithy Lodge is self-catering, but breakfast can be provided at an additional cost – please contact Heaton Park in advance to arrange this...

Prices for the breakfast are:

Option 1 - £10 per person

  • Fruit juice and tea / coffee
  • Cereal or grapefruit
  • Fully monty English breakfast
  • Toast and preserves

Option 2 - £5 per person

  • Fully monty English breakfast
  • Tea / coffee
