Smithy Lodge

The eight-sided Smithy Lodge was the first gatehouse to the park, designed in 1806. The name comes from Blacksmiths shops that used to be on Middleton Road outside the park.

The 3* Grade II Listed lodge was originally a cottage and has been restored to luxury self-catering accommodation, with lounge, spacious kitchen area with dining room table, two twin bedrooms, and bathroom with shower and full size bath. It sleeps up to four, however - due to its original design - Smithy Lodge does not have disabled access.
