Introduction

Ballbrook conservation area is situated approximately four miles south of Manchester city centre.

Adjacent to Blackburn Park conservation area, Ballbrook is predominantly residential in nature. The conservation area, designated in November 1991, extends to just over ten hectares, bounded by Wilmslow Road to the east, Lapwing Lane to the south-west, Palatine Road to the north-west and Sandileigh Avenue to the north.
