Request the removal of dead animals
We will remove any dead animal found on the public highway (road, pavements and open spaces). This includes wild animals such as badgers and foxes, as well as domestic pets such as cats and dogs.
What you can do
You can request the removal of a dead animal, you will need the following information:
- what type of animal was found i.e. dog, cat, fox etc;
- where has the animal been found; and
- location or address if known.
What we can do
We aim to remove dead animals from roads, pavements and public open space within one working day. However, for larger animals that require specialist lifting equipment, this may take longer.
All of our depots have micro chip readers for the identification of pets, so we will attempt to identify and contact the owner wherever possible.
What don't we do
We are not able to remove dead animals from your house or property, please contact your local veterinary surgeon or a private contractor.
