The Arndale Market deservedly occupies a special place in the heart of the city centre. A favourite of both residents and visitors, its food hall is a great alternative lunch destination, while the range of popular stalls is perfect for creating a slap-up dinner, furnishing a new flat, or even planning a fancy dress outfit.
The 150-seater food hall serves affordable food from around the world, including Jamaican jerk chicken, Chinese roast duck, Greek kebabs, and grilled paninis.
Imported Polish goods and sausages come courtesy of the White Eagle delicatessen, fine cheeses from Hansfords, exotic fruit and vegetables from Strawberry Gardens, and fresh meats from the High Street Market.
There is also an impressive fishmongers, where you can pick up a bargain sea bass, mullet, or lobster from a huge selection of fresh fish and shellfish at Direct Fisheries and Whales Fish.
The market also features stalls selling clothing, footwear, accessories, cards, gifts, beauty products, mobile phones, flowers and jewellery. A one-stop shop for all your errands, you can have keys cut, shoes repaired and clothing altered. If all that isn't enough, you can even get a manicure or a haircut!
