Removal of graffiti
We will remove graffiti within 21days, or within one working day if it's racist, sexist, obscene, abusive or gang related.
Where people are caught drawing graffiti we will take action.
What you can do
You can report graffiti to us, you will need the following information:
- the location of the graffiti i.e. residents / business etc;
- address if known;
- type of graffiti e.g. racist / obscene; and
- what the graffiti says.
If you are the owner of a private property it is your responsibility to remove graffiti, residents can report this to us and we will ensure it is removed.
To report graffiti on street lights, illuminated signs, illuminated bollards or belisha beacons, use the report a faulty street light, illuminated sign / bollard or belisha beacon form.
What we can do
We will remove offensive graffiti that is racist, sexually explicit, obscene, abusive or gang related within one working day. All other types of graffiti will be removed within 21 working days.
We will work with GMP and Housing providers to seek to prevent further incidents occurring.
What don't we do
It is not our responsibility to remove graffiti from the following locations. Please contact the relevant company in the first instance:

- post boxes - contact Royal Mail (08457 740 740);
- railway bridges - contact Network Rail (08457 114 141).
If you live in a Northwards, Eastlands or Adactus property, please contact them to arrange for the graffiti to be removed.
