Fairly Traded Market
Piccadilly Gardens, City Centre
Open twice monthly, on the second and fourth weekend (Friday and Saturday) between 10am and 5.30pm.
This dinky market is a must for the shopper with a conscience. From bags, purses and jewellery, to scarves, wall-hangings and unusual wood carvings, all produce has been fairly traded, guaranteeing that small scale producers in developing countries receive a fair, stable price.

Aztec Arts
Having travelled widely in the developing world, Joanna Pollard started Aztec Arts on a visit to Mexico in 2005 as a way of helping the local craftspeople find a market for their goods. Once involved in Fair Trade she realised how many fantastic products are available and now stocks fairly traded goods from around the world. The most popular products from the Aztec Arts range are homewares made from recycled aluminium - old food and drink cans etc - made in a family run factory in Rajasthan, India.
Amazonas Gifts
Amazonas Gifts was founded in 2007 by Patricia Coll and Bradley Spencer. After meeting in India four years earlier and fuelled with the passion for travel and adventure, they set off on a world journey to far away places. Inspired by the beautiful handy work of the local crafts people they met in the different countries visited, they decided to set up a business bringing these splendid handicrafts back to the UK, whilst giving the craftspeople a much needed source of income.
They sell unique fairly traded items that you will not find on the high street. Items such as jewellery, bags, wall hangings, scarves, leather journals, clothing and other Fair Trade products. They buy their goods directly from small scale producers with whom they have become personal friends over the years and visit them twice a year to pick new stock and as well as commissioning bespoke designs of their own.
Amazon Gifts has been a member of BAFTS (British Association for Fair Trade Shops), an organisation that supports UK based Fair trade retailers for the past two years.
