Accessibility and help for speakers of other languages

Everyone has the right to be able to attend court and take part in the inquest process.  If you have an access need which is not covered on this page, please let us know and we will discuss solutions with you.

There is step free access to the office and courtrooms in both the Town Hall and the Royal Exchange Building.  There is an accessible toilet near to each courtroom.  There is a Changing Places toilet in the Town Hall Extension.

There are hearing loops fitted in our courtrooms and we also have portable loop pendants available.

Copies of reports and statements can be supplied in large print on request.

When family members speak a language other than English, we will arrange for an interpreter.  If you know that you or someone in your family will need an interpreter, please tell us straight away.
