The Inquest System in Manchester
Collection of evidence
Since an inquest is an inquiry the Coroner collects the evidence. He receives reports and statements. He can generate further enquiries. If you have not been approached directly by the Police or any other investigating agency and feel that you have relevant information do not hesitate to let the Coroner's Office know. You may well be interviewed and a statement taken.
