Homes and property Rehousing help if you have a medical condition

If we need to visit

We'll make an appointment to come to your home - it will be between six and twelve weeks away, depending on the urgency of your situation. We will arrange an interpreter if necessary.

One of our medically-trained staff will ask you about your condition and how it's affected by your current accommodation. They will discuss your options - like the best type of property to move to. With your permission they'll contact other agencies for more information.

We will then decide whether your condition means that you get extra priority for rehousing, and recommend the type of property that suits you best. If you live outside the area covered by Manchester City Council you can only get this 'medical priority' if you have a connection to the city.
