Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)
Manchester's Statement of Community Involvement was adopted on 31st January 2007. The Statement of Community Involvement sets out the methods that will be used to involve the public and other stakeholders in the preparation of the Local Development Framework and how the Council will consult on planning applications.

The document is also available to view in Planning Reception on Level 7 of the Town Hall Extension and all Manchester libraries. Opening times for libraries are given in the Adoption Statement (PDF, 22 KB).
The Statement of Community Involvement was examined by the Planning Inspectorate in November 2006. The recommendations in the Inspector's Report (PDF, 93 KB) are binding on the Council and have been incorporated into the adopted Statement of Community Involvement.
