Providing for Housing Choice Supplementary Planning Document & Planning Guidance

Planning for housing

When developers apply for planning permission to build new homes, we can ask them to contribute to measures that will benefit the wider community before we give them the go-ahead. We may ask them to contribute to new roads, or provide open spaces for instance. And we can tell them that some of the homes they build must be affordable housing for people who don't have high incomes.

The Council adopted Providing for Housing Choice Supplementary Planning Document & Planning Guidance on 2nd September 2008.
