Decision
To approve as a correct record, the Minutes of the meeting held on 26 July, 2007.
PH/07/34 Deferrals
The Chair requested approval of the Committee for deferral of application 081261, concerning land bounded by Store Street, Great Ancoats Street and Millbank Street, Ancoats and Clayton Ward, to allow for a site visit and application 082567, Naylor Street, Miles Platting and Newton Heath Ward, at the request of the Head of Planning to enable further consideration of issues raised through consultation.
Decision
To agree to defer the applications for the reasons stated.
Decisions taken under Delegated Powers
PH/07/35 Applications for permission for development
Reports of the Head of Planning were submitted in relation to various applications for planning permission. Late representations were also submitted in respect of applications, 083038, 083414, 082694, 083104 and 083105. Further late representations were reported at the meeting.
The Committee heard representations made by objectors/applicants/local councillors in relation to applications 083414, 082694 and 083038.
Prior to the meeting the Committee made a site visit to 2 Beaumont Road (083414) and Land adjacent to Runger Lane, Woodhouse Park Ward. (082694).
Decision
1. To approve the following applications, in accordance with the reasons put forward by the Head of Planning in his report and any late representations, and subject also to the conditions proposed in his report and in the late representations submitted:
081535: Land adjacent to 457 Wilbraham Road and 36 Whitemoss Avenue, Whalley Range Ward
Erection of two 2 storey detached houses with associated car parking and landscaping and elevational alterations to garage block. (Councillor Grant Dissenting)
2. To be Minded to Approve the following applications, in accordance with the reasons put forward by the Head of Planning in his report or any late representations and subject to any conditions proposed in his report or any late representations, and to authorise the Head of Planning to issue an approval notice in each case once outstanding issues have been resolved to his satisfaction:
082694: Land adjacent to Runger Lane, Off Wilmslow Road, Woodhouse Park Ward*
Erection of a seven storey hotel comprising 169 rooms with 126 associated car parking spaces and landscaping.
(Subject to referral to the Secretary of State)
(Councillors Andrews and Burns were not present at the Wythenshawe Area Committee when they made their decision).
083104 &: The Peoples History Museum, the Pump House, Bridge Street 083105 City Centre Ward*
Refurbishment of existing building and erection of a five storey extension and Listed Building Consent for works to the existing building including demolition of the first floor office above existing sub station, demolition of external boundary wall, demolition of the second floor mezzanine, demolition of staircases, extension to the ground floor mezzanine and erection of a glazed link leading to a new extension. (Subject to referral to the Secretary of State for determination).
3. To defer* application 083414 for the erection of a two storey building to form two apartments following the demolition of the existing single storey building at 2 Beaumont Road, Chorlton Ward, to allow officers to hold further discussions with the applicant relating to car parking and the legitimacy of building/use.
