Manchester City Council

The sky is the limit for fireworks

The sky will be alight with fireworks in the lead up to bonfire night and Manchester’s parks are the place to enjoy a fun, safe, family evening out.

The smell of candyfloss and the dizzying heights of funfair rides are just two of the attractions. The bonfires will be lit and the sky will be alight with colourful rockets, fountains and other pyrotechnics at the events.

Manchester takes a strong line on fireworks and safety is of paramount importance, which is why, visitors are told not to bring their own fireworks. Professional event management and medical personnel are present at each park alongside pyrotechnic experts who design each display using high quality fireworks to regulate noise levels and landing distances to meet health and safety requirements.

Councillor Mike Kane, Executive Member for Arts and Leisure said: "Bonfire Night is a great way to spend time with your family and friends having fun. Manchester's parks are a great place to be at this time of the year and I am sure you will enjoy the colourful displays."

Find your local event and relax for a great night out!
