Lord Mayor’s Annual Carol Concert

Manchester’s Great Hall will be filled with song on Thursday December 6 as the Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Glynn Evans, invites visitors to bring in the Christmas cheer.

The annual Carol Concert is free of charge and a wonderful way to prepare for Christmas. This year, Canon Robin Gamble, will introduce the concert. Carols will be performed by Manchester Voluntary Choir sopranos and trebles and Manchester Girls' Junior Singers who will be accompanied by the North West District Centre Brass Band.

Tea, coffee and mince pies will be served on the evening, which runs from 7pm to 8pm.

The Lord Mayor of Manchester said: "I love Christmas and this year Manchester looks so festive. We have the magnificent Christmas Markets, a great Santa so come and celebrate with us at the annual Carol Service in The Great Hall - a wonderful room in the Town Hall."

Manchester Christmas Arts and Crafts Market: Exchange Street, 10am to 8pm

Manchester Christmas Market: New Cathedral Street, 10am to 8pm daily

Manchester Christmas Market, Brazennose Street, 10am to 7pm daily
