Fun & Games as Library Re-opens

Withington Library is hosting a family fun day to celebrate their re-opening and promise lots of interesting and lively activities to keep everyone of all ages entertained.

The library had been closed while essential building repairs took place but re-launched on 14 April with celebrations planned for Saturday 3 May 10.30am - 3.30pm.

Younger visitors can enjoy many activities including craft sessions, face-painting, story-time, and dance-mats - mum and dad can even have a go at trying to keep their co-ordination in time to the music!

Other visitors might prefer a more relaxing, therapeutic hand massage, advice on healthy living, a trip down memory lane with old photos and anecdotes of Withington, and computer and internet sessions including information on free IT courses.

Councillor Mike Amesbury, Assistant Executive Member for Arts and Leisure said: "Withington Library is a busy and well-used public building and the recent upgrade and maintenance work has ensured it can continue operating to a high standard. We are delighted to see the library open its doors once again and look forward to seeing many new and existing members at the fun day on Saturday."

The fun-day is also a chance to find out what services Withington Library has to offer including internet access, one-to-one tuition, Homework Club,Toddler Time, and much more.
