Manchester City Council welcomes the Co-operative Group’s city centre HQ announcement

Manchester City Council welcomes today’s announcement by the Co-operative Group that they will locate its new headquarters in Manchester city centre.

Sir Richard Leese, Leader of Manchester City Council said: "This is fantastic news. We have been working very hard to keep the Co-operative Group in Manchester. Miller Street, a strategic location at the northern gateway to the city, is the right decision. We're working with the Group and other landowners in the wider area to put forward proposals for further regeneration opportunities in this part of the city centre."
