Northenden Library is offering free health checks on Thursday 26 February between 10am and 12pm.
The Healthy Northenden event has been organised by the library to offer free health advice in a relaxed and informal setting.
It is a chance for local residents to find out more about the library's Health Information Point, where people can gather a range of information, seek advice and check out the best health websites.
A complementary therapist will be on hand to offer relaxing taster sessions throughout the event, which is completely focused on wellbeing.
Councillor Mike Amesbury, Executive Member for Culture and Leisure at Manchester City Council said: "The city's libraries are becoming focal points for the local community and we are working hard to expand the services they offer to make them more relevant to the modern day user."
Healthy Northenden takes place on Thursday 26 February 10am until 12noon at Northenden Library.
