New East Manchester offers recession advice
21 April 2009
New East Manchester and Jobcentre Plus are holding a business breakfast on Tuesday 28 April for east Manchester businesses to offer advice on coping in the current economic climate.
To be held at Sportcity in east Manchester, the event will include talks by the Northwest Regional Development Agency, Business Link North West, the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS), Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and New East Manchester.
Also, Jobcentre Plus will be on hand to offer advice and guidance on business finance, paying taxes, cash flow, redundancy issues and investing for the future.
Sean McGonigle, Director of Regeneration at New East Manchester said: "Many businesses have never had to operate in a difficult economic climate before, so may not know where to turn. We want to make sure local companies are prepared if they find themselves effected by the recession, not only so they can cope now, but can recover faster when the economy starts to improve."
